Dr. Deepak Garg (Consultant Cardiologist)

Dr Garg is an Interventional and general Cardiologist with more than 25 years of experience. He undertook his Specialist training in Cardiology at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. He pursued super-specialist training in coronary intervention at Leeds University Hospitals under the mentorship of Dr EJ Perrins, later President of British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. Dr Garg was entered into the GMC Specialist Register in 1998. Later that year he was appointed as Consultant at Dr Grays Hospital /Grampian University Hospitals to establish a Cardiology Service at Dr Grays Hospital in Elgin with its Invasive/interventional arm at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. In 2004 he successfully competed for a much-coveted interventional fellowship at a centre of excellence, Vancouver General Hospital (& St. Paul Hospital) at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He undertook high volume & intensive training in advance coronary intervention, working with a faculty of renowned interventional cardiologists. He has since been a Consultant Cardiologist) in NHS Grampian. He kept his base hospital as Dr Grays H- and his interventional practice at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, including Primary PCI. He has supervised and contributed to training of a no. of trainees in general cardiology, coronary intervention and device implants over the years.
